Аннотация. В статье представлен анализ ключевых политических и экономических факторов, определяющих заинтересованность стран Латинской Америки во вхождении в БРИКС. Объектом исследования выступают пять государств региона, подавших заявки на вступление в преддверии XVI саммита БРИКС 2024 г. в России, – Боливия, Венесуэла, Гондурас, Куба и Никарагуа. Показаны сферы совпадения их позиций с участниками БРИКС на международной арене, рассмотрены линии, по которым ведется взаимодействие, а также наиболее перспективные направления для расширения сотрудничества.
