Аннотация. В статье подробно анализируются различные аспекты образовательной инфраструктуры Индии. Детально рассмотрена индийская система школьного, высшего и профессионального образования. В ретроспективе выделены ее основные достижения в период независимости. Проанализированы результаты современных реформационных процессов. Помимо этого, обозначены основные проблемы системы образования в Индии, которые являются преградой для улучшения социально-экономического состояния в стране и обретения ею статуса мировой державы.
