Аннотация. В статье выделяются и характеризуются изменения, привнесенные администрациями Д. Трампа и Дж. Байдена в тайваньскую политику США, ввиду смещения военного баланса в Тайваньском проливе в сторону Китая, интенсификации активности НОАК близ Тайваня и американо-китайского стратегического соперничества. Вносимые изменения в тайваньскую политику отражают реализуемую Вашингтоном тактику “малых шагов”, направленную на увеличение общего уровня поддержки Тайваня и повышение обороноспособности острова на случай военной операции КНР.
