Аннотация. В статье исследованы нюансы стратегического преображения американской арктической политики после начала российско-украинского конфликта. Специальная военная операция (СВО) России на Украине оказала неожиданное и ощутимое влияние на арктическую подсистему международных отношений. В работе показано, что эти изменения расцениваются многими западными политиками, в том числе американскими, как стратегический шанс, которым нужно воспользоваться для пересмотра международно-политической ситуации в регионе Крайнего Севера. Концептуальной рамкой, в пределах которой исследуются проблемы “постфевральского” американского полярного курса, является теория “офшорного балансирования”.
