Аннотация. В статье анализируется образ Риши Сунака в англо- и хиндиязычных СМИ Индии. Для выявления динамики развития нарративов использован дискурсивно-исторический подход на основе корпуса из 2855 заголовков за 2022 г. Автор приходит к выводу, что в Индии вопросы британской политики являются предметом крайнего интереса, причем внимание к происхождению и религиозной принадлежности Сунака сильно трансформировалось во время борьбы за пост премьер-министра. Если в начале года эти темы не затрагивались, то в октябре его стали называть “гордостью нации”. В то же время экспертное сообщество становится источником контрдискурса относительно перспектив двусторонних отношений.
