Аннотация. В статье анализируется документ, определивший американскую политику в отношении Китая, – “Стратегический подход Соединенных Штатов к отношениям с Китайской Народной Республикой”. Исследуются политические принципы, заложенные в нем и отражающие фундаментальное представление американского истеблишмента о Китае и его стратегии. Предлагается их научное обоснование. Демонстрируется, каким образом следование этим принципам трансформировало американский подход к КНР.
