Аннотация. Одна из самых обсуждаемых инноваций в сфере денежного обращения – суверенная цифровая валюта. Многие страны мира проявили интерес к этой новой форме фиатных денег и находятся на разных этапах реализации соответствующих проектов. Обобщаются эмпирические данные, касающиеся создания суверенной цифровой валюты в отдельных странах. Особое внимание уделяется опыту стран, которые дальше всех продвинулись в создании такой валюты, в частности Китая и Швеции.
