Аннотация. Ближний Восток находится в крайне уязвимом положении перед лицом эпидемии коронавируса. Целая группа стран оказалась на пороге точки невозврата в преодолении своего отставания от Запада и продвинутых стран Востока. В статье предпринята попытка ответить на следующие вопросы: каковы политические и экономические последствия пандемии для региона, насколько реально в новых условиях обеспечить социально-экономическое возрождение арабских стран, насколько велика вероятность реинкарнации в новых реалиях террористического исламистского потенциала в странах Ближнего Востока и Северной Африки?
