Аннотация. Статья посвящена анализу политики администрации Дж. Байдена в отношении перехода от использования ископаемого топлива к возобновляемым источникам энергии. В контексте отношения к проблеме администраций Б. Обамы и Д. Трампа авторы изучают успехи, препятствия и неудачи на этом пути текущего американского руководства. Особое внимание уделяется противоречиям внутри Демократической партии между центристами и левыми радикалами, а также жесткой оппозиции республиканских фракций. Делается вывод о потенциальной возможности достижения двухпартийного консенсуса по проблеме изменения климата, однако на данном этапе в условиях давления радикальных группировок эта возможность выглядит маловероятной.
