Аннотация. Статья посвящена обзору актуальных научных исследований прямых иностранных инвестиций (ПИИ), не связанных с “классическими” транснациональными корпорациями (ТНК). Показано, что отдельное от ТНК изучение фирм, “рожденных глобальными”, требуется в основном из-за необходимости корректировки теоретических концепций, объясняющих феномен ТНК. Обособленное изучение ПИИ суверенных инвестиционных фондов и инвесторов в зарубежную недвижимость обусловлено главным образом прикладными задачами государственного регулирования таких капиталовложений.
