Аннотация. Брекзит явился во многом следствием того, что Соединенному Королевству не удалось развернуть интеграционный процесс на континенте в направлении, которое лучше соответствовало бы его собственным предпочтениям. Для Британии переоценка своей глобальной роли теперь составляет экзистенциальную проблему. При этом в обозримой перспективе заметное расхождение между британским и европейским внешнеполитическими курсами выглядит неизбежным. Методология интерпретивизма использована в статье, чтобы выявить внешнеполитические смыслы, которые формируются в рассуждениях правящего класса страны о Глобальной Британии, Англосфере и Индо-Пацифике.
