Аннотация. Рассматриваются роль фондового рынка в инновационном развитии и росте высокотехнологичных отраслей, каналы взаимосвязи инноваций и финансового сектора, значение конкуренции за капитал для технологических прорывов. Показаны особенности работы NASDAQ и рост конкуренции между биржами в мире. Проводится анализ содержания и динамики первичных размещений (IPO) в США за последние 30 лет и сравнение крупнейших мировых бирж по объему торгов, ликвидности и числу эмитентов. Отмечено усиление влияния бирж материкового Китая.
