The monitoring of mutual CIS investments, as developed by IMEMO and the EDB Centre for Integration Studies, has a potentially broad sphere of application. First, it provides analytical support for work conducted by state and supranational agencies on developing a suitable strategy for deepening integration processes throughout the post-Soviet space. Second, the yielded empirical database and resolved methodological issues serve to promote better scientific understanding of TNCs, particularly those from developing and post-socialist countries. Third, CIS MIM is aimed at meeting business needs by providing information on more than 500 transactions involving mutual investments.
