В статье рассмотрена политика стран Прибалтики и Молдавии в отношении памяти о Великой Отечественной войне. В Прибалтике издаются книги местных уроженцев, ответственных за Холокост, пишутся книги, оправдывающие нацизм, переиздаются работы нацистских преступников. Также в Прибалтике активно демонтируются памятники советским солдатам. В Молдавии восхваляется румынская оккупация 1940–1944 годов, названная освобождением. Там пытаются запретить георгиевскую ленточку, ставят памятники румынским оккупантам и хотят снести памятники советским солдатам.
