Аннотация. В статье рассматриваются основные тенденции, характеризующие текущую ситуацию в области безопасности в Афганистане в условиях перехода США и НАТО к миссии небоевого формата, а также масштабного сокращения численности иностранного контингента. Анализируются коррективы, которые администрация Барака Обамы внесла в первоначальный график вывода войск с целью предотвращения дальнейшей эскалации напряженности в Афганистане вплоть до развития ситуации по “иракскому сценарию”.
