Abstract. US economic situation has improved in 2014, however growth rates and employment have not yet reached pre-crisis levels. Slow recovery is caused by the monetary policy limitations and necessity to stimulate aggregate demand, which is hampered by the political confrontation in Congress. Interparty contradictions aggravated in pre-election period and became an independent factor hindering political and economic decision-making.
