Abstract. The article is devoted to the main results and political significance of the Referendum on Scotland Independence. The author analyses referendum's influence on British statehood and modern political system in the context of rapid rise of English nationalism and regionalism. Author also stresses the consequences of referendum for the states with risks of separatist movements.
