Abstract. The article focuses on the perspectives of unconventional oil production in the Unites States and globalization of American shale revolution. While potential of rapid increase in tight oil production outside the North America seems rather limited, the increasing supply of tight oil in the USA might cause a considerable reconfiguration of the world oil market.
