Abstract. This article is concerned about peculiarities of the word steel industry developing in 2012. The word steel industry has been in recession in recent years. The European steel industry is in deep crisis with uncertain prospects to overcome it. But at the same time, according to some expert forecasts there are positive changes in this issue. China as the most important global manufacturer of steel products has implemented industry restructuring.
