Abstract. British economy has emerged from recession. The local election was a bad showing for the Conservatives and especially the Liberal- Democrats. The U.K. voted against military strikes in Syria. In recent decades, the U.K. has rarely if ever parted ways with the U.S. on such a significant strategic issue.
