Abstract. In 2023, the number of conflicts in the world increased. The continuation of the Ukrainian conflict and the outbreak of violence in the Middle East have increased the role of the military component in world politics, caused serious contradictions between the leading powers, as well as ideological splits among Western countries. The crisis of the world order of recent decades has reached a point beyond which the possibility of returning to the old system becomes more than doubtful. At the same time, new players, regional leaders are asserting themselves at the forefront of global politics. The struggle for their support has further aggravated the global confrontation.
