Abstract. The article is devoted to the analysis of the main trends in the development of the world metallurgy gee in 2022. The main event was the slowdown in China, especially with the exacerbation of environmental problems. Russian metallurgy gia is facing an acute crisis due to Western sanctions and a difficult situation in the domestic market. The main provisions of the pro- metallurgy development program for the period up to 2030, describing the prospects for the development of the industry in the conditions of a trade blockade by the decline, reorientation of export flows and solving the problems of growth of domestic early consumption.
