Abstract. The article is focused on the analysis of main directions and trends in China’s development in 2021. The materials and results of the Sixth Plenum of the 19th Central Committee of the CCP, which gave a detailed analysis of the century-old history of the Party and set the strategic line for the further development of the country under the leadership of the CCP are reviewed in detail. Special attention is paid to the socio-economic development of China, the main results of which, in the context of the fight against the pandemic, were the movement towards «common prosperity» of the population and the dynamic recovery of the economy. The features and main directions of the formation of a new structure of China’s economy are marked as well as the main problems and the negative impact of external factors on the development of the PRC are highlighted. The dynamics and progressive development of Russian-Chinese relations of comprehensive strategic partnership in the «new era» are separately considered.
