The opening section of the Spring–Summer 2025 issue of “Pathways to Peace and Security”, no. 1 (68) is devoted to the problems of militarization (weaponization) of information and communication technologies, artificial intelligence, and digital platforms, as well as cybersecurity issues. The second thematic block is formed by articles that explore the political economy and security of (trans)regional transport and logistics corridors – from undersea infrastructure in the Baltic, cross-border communication and cooperation in Central Asia, and the so-called Zangezur corridor to the “Iran-Rah” initiative, transport and logistics aspects of Turkey’s Black Sea policy, as well as the Panama Canal issue. The section on the Middle East and West Africa examines the military–political approaches of the post-Assad Syrian authorities, various aspects of the Kurdish problem, primarily in Turkey and Syria, and the specifics and prospects of the Confederation of Sahel States. In the final section on Western policies in armed conflict areas, Canada’s policy towards the conflict in Ukraine is analyzed, as well as Germany's approaches to conflict management in Asia and Africa.
