Abstract

The article analyzes the dynamics of hate crimes and other activity of the ultra-right groups and movements in Russia, with the main focus on national-radical organizations and activists who have accounted for the majority of such crimes. The author identifies the key characteristics of the national-
radical movement and its shift in the 2010s from street violence, pogroms and organizing or taking part in other mass disturbances to antimigrant raids and vigilantism. A detailed explanation is provided for the ongoing crisis of the national-radical movement and the decline of violence by the right-wing
extremists.
