Abstract. The article explores the phenomenon of the so-called new regionalism which embraces not only integration experience in different regions of the world, but also such forms of regional interaction as inter- and transregional cooperation, informal regional forums or transnational public-private partnership. The proposed spatial organizational approach that applies the category of “political space” to the study of these forms of regional cooperation allows to reveal their possible influence on transformation of the international order and global regulation, the changing rules of conduct for the states in the apparently altering international hierarchy and structure and principles of the collective (group) leadership.
