Abstract

The article reviews the current situation inside and around the autonomous entity of Gagauzia (Republic of Moldova), including its political, cultural, language, socio-economic and international aspects. Special attention is paid to the influence of Turkish, Romanian, the EU and other external forces and factors on the situation in Gagauzia, while Russia not only remains, but increasingly becomes Gagauzia’s main foreign policy and economic vector.
