This issue marks the UN’s 70th anniversary with a special thematic section. It includes articles on the adaptation of the UN and its Security Council to the realities of the 21st century and on the “new regionalism”, exploring the problems of integration, including in non-Western regions, interregional and transregional cooperation with participation of both state and non-state actors. For the first time, the journal also addresses various links and connections between security and development. The problems of autonomy and federalism are illustrated by articles on the Gagauzia (Moldova) and Catalonia (Spain) cases.
