Abstract. The paper concentrates on a complex analysis of Eurasian integration processes in the context of the Eurasian Economic Union and Greater Eurasian Partnership. The authors pay special attention to the latest trends in the development of trade and economic ties as well as sociocultural relations. Special emphasis is put on the impact of sanctions upon the cooperation between the EAEU member-states. The paper lays a foundation for the concept of a symmetrical integration based on balancing economic and sociocultural dimensions of transnational relations within the EAEU. A conclusion is made that building scientific and technological alliance on the platform of the EAEU constitutes a promising direction for strategic development.
