All-Russian School of Young Africanists

The XVI All-Russian Conference of the School of Young Africanists took place at the Institute for African Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences, in November 2017. The annual forum was held by the Institute for African Studies and Research Council of RAS on problems of African countries, in collaboration with universities from various cities of Russia. The main goals of the conference were to involve the widest possible range of young researchers of the African continent and to support this trend in Russian science. The conference which had an educational character was designed to help young researchers in the awareness of different research areas’ importance for a full understanding of the processes occurring in the sociopolitical and cultural life of Africa. 


Africa, international actors in Africa, Islamic extremism, terrorist threats, security issues, migration, Russian-African relations, Africa's economic potential, globalization and demographic processes

In response to the challenges of our time the Editorial board continues to open new thematic rubrics:

“World Energy Sector after Pandemic”. We plan to publish articles presenting in-depth analysis of influence of Pandemic on the global energy sector and forecasts of further developments in its various branches.
