The journal’s first issue of 2017 offers theoretical articles on economic topics, focusing on general problems of the post-crisis development (inflation vs deflation) and the functioning of the global financial system (cross-border transmission of systemic risk).

Issues of economic and political integration in Europe are considered in both historical and current aspects in the cycle “Europe: New Realities”. It becomes traditional for the journal to publish studies on migrations in the modern world. In the current issue the problems of migration crisis in the EU are discussed. Finally, the article «"Large Cracks on the “Grand Chessboard”» explores the profound changes in the geopolitical picture of the Eurasian space over the past decades.
