Abstract

The article focuses on the shift of approach to information and communication technologies use in U.S. foreign policy over the last five years. Analyses touches upon the creation of a new field of political confrontation. The use of information and communication technologies for military-strategic and political purposes has a significant impact on international security. It is concluded, that we need to counter new threats emanating from cyberspace, while retaining its positive potential.
