Abstract. This article contains considerations regarding the world development idea as it is conceived by the author in the frame of a special world studies knowledge, presented in the fundamental work edited by A. Petrov (What the Catching-Up Development Pursues. Search for the Concept. Collected Works. M., 2011). It is attempted to enounce the main ideas of the author's world development concept perception and his vision, in terms of the science studies knowledge.
