Global Environmental Security: Position of Developing Countries

Abstract. The author examines the stand of developing countries on global environmental problems: the Earth ozone layer preservation; hazardous waste removing; biodiversity preservation; climate change prevention. The environmental diplomacy effectiveness in the context of a “green” development is evaluated in the article, prospects of the "green" development idea advanced by countries of the North and substant risks for countries of the South resulting from this initiative are examined.
