Abstract. In the framework of the Convention on prohibiting development, production and accumulation of bacteriological weapons consistent efforts are now being taken to characterize the experiments that contradict to this Convention and cause concerns. The paper analyses different types of the experiments and their menaces to the mankind. It is also argued that there is a need for monitoring over the science and for running an enlightening and explanatory work within the research, branch and academic associations, bodies and institutions that have a relation to life sciences and dealing with the international security issues.
