Abstract. The problem of gradual socio-cultural identity change of Russian and French societies under the influence of ethnic immigration is considered in the article. Such spheres as language, staff policy and education are researched. Special attention is given to the growing influence of immigration issue on the electoral discourse of political parties in France and Russia.
