Abstract

The article deals with the phenomenon of European paradiplomacy in the context of globalization and integration. Wales’ and Scotland’s diplomatic activities were chosen for a comparative analysis since they represent contrasting positions within the state and in the “broader world”. The author defines common and distinguishing features of paradiplomacy and makes conclusions on its development potential.
