Abstract. The implementation of large-scale infrastructural projects can deliver a strong multiplicative effect with regard to general economic growth and progress in the region. However, the actual result will largely depend on the self-consistency of participating states' policies, as well as on the fact, to which extent the integration projects themselves will be required by the economies of countries included in the Association.
