Abstract

The article describes the main achievements of China in the sphere of science and technology in the period of 2006–2010. During this period the country faced a number of serious problems in R&D promotion. An idea to undertake an innovation sprint is one of key ones for China in the period of 2011-2015. By 2020China pretends to join the club number of nations with innovative economies and by the middle of the XXI century to become a world leader in science and technology.
