To WTO via Triadic Customs Union: Intentions and Reality

Abstract

In this article, possible consequences of Belarus', Kazakhstan's and Russia's coordinated decision to accomplish the Customs Union fast-track formation in 2010 and join the WTO as a united trade alliance are examined. The paper considers real difficulties that may occur in the course of negotiations with the WTO working bodies, it contains a number of proposals concerning the synchronization of the customs tripartite union forming and trade negotiations
