Abstract. The security landscape of post-Soviet Central Eurasia, which unites the countries of Central Asia and the South Caucasus, is analyzed in the context of non-Western international organizations such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and BRICS. The role of these organizations in promoting its own strategic agenda in the emerging multipolar world, where the confrontation between the “collective West” and the Global South is becoming prominent, is explored. Particular attention is paid to the approaches of these international organizations to traditional and non-traditional challenges and threats, including terrorism and drug trafficking. It is shown that the post-Soviet countries of Central Eurasia participating in non-Western international associations remain committed to their multi-vector strategy, which allows them to maneuver between the interests of various regional and global centers of power.
