Abstract. The effective use of administrative resources, control over the country’s information field, and reliance on the diaspora in Western countries brought the Moldovan pro-Western “party of power” PAS, whose informal leader is President Maia Sandu, an obvious success in the September 2025 parliamentary elections. Preserving the power in Moldova of the forces aimed at the republic’s speedy integration into the European Union, expanding cooperation with NATO and curtailing relations with Russia creates certain problems for Moscow. The strengthening of the pro-Western vector of Moldovan policy is beyond doubt. And although this time the right political forces have taken control of almost all the main institutions and is even about to start administrative reform, it is possible that this time, in the event of a possible stalling of Moldova’s European integration process, the pendulum of public sentiment in the Republic of Moldova is still capable of swinging in the other direction.
