Climate Policy in BRICS Partner Countries (Case Studies of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Belarus)

Abstract. This article focuses on the process of national transition to climate neutrality. The subject of the study is the specifics of the climate transition in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, and the BRICS partner countries, which is the most important international alliance in the current world order, with Russia as one of its leaders. The study also examines the BRICS climate policy, which includes Russia's climate policy, as well as international and global climate regimes (including the EU's climate regime), among other topics. In conclusion, the paper summarizes the results and provides recommendations for adjusting the national security strategy and its climate component in order to ensure Russia’s long-term survival and sustainable development in the 21st century.
