Abstract. The next parliamentary elections in Moldova are scheduled for September 28, 2025. If the ruling party loses its majority in the national legislature, the current President of the country, M. Sandu, will actually lose real power in the country. The election campaign in the republic is taking place against the background of further deterioration of economic indicators. A drop in production in all major sectors of the economy could lead to a systemic collapse. In the general context of electoral preparation, the political opposition is quite active. In particular, protests led by the republic’s largest opposition force, the Party of Socialists, have intensified.
