Abstract. Turkey hopes to expand its influence in post-Soviet Central Asia, offering the countries of the region an alternative to Eurasian economic integration and the pro-Russian cultural and civilizational project. The promotion of Turkish interests in the economies of Central Asian countries, their military-political sphere and culture is based on the Organization of Turkic States and its umbrella structures. They are in fact instruments of external influence, despite the participation of the Central Asian republics and Azerbaijan in them. In the zone of Turkey's special attention is energy-rich Kazakhstan, which has long been willingly developing cooperation with Turkey in a variety of areas, including military partnership, deployment of new logistics corridors, oil, gas and trade routes bypassing Russia. Pursuing its own priority goals and objectives in post-Soviet Central Asia, Turkey has a number of coinciding interests with Russia, while remaining its competitor and rival in the region.
