Abstract. The leadership of Moldova is taking the country out of the traditional sphere of Russian influence. Following the course of “European integration”, Chisinau consistently denounces the agreements concluded within the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States. At the same time, a course has been taken to develop cooperation with NATO. This political course has already led to the collapse of the socio-economic sphere of the republic, to large-scale protest actions of the population, as well as to the growing internal political crisis.
