Abstract. The economy of Azerbaijan in 2022 faced multidirectional vectors of its development. On the one hand, the dynamic development of the country's economy, primarily the energy industries, continued. On the other – double-digit inflation, threatening negative consequences. The year 2022 has shown that in the conditions of new international realities, Azerbaijan has managed to take advantage of the opportunities presented. This has been reflected in a significant increase in oil exports, and especially gas, as well as in the increasing role of Azerbaijan as an important global transport hub. The development of innovative industries remains an urgent task.
