Abstract. The article analyzes the protests in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, which took place in mid-2022. Necessity for studying is due to the close interaction (cooperation) of the Russian Federation with the former Soviet republics and their constituent entities, which at the moment is complicated by the interest of other global actors in participating in the processes in the post-Soviet space. The protests in the Republic of Karakalpakstan are a reflection of the general instability and vulnerability to foreign interference in the Central Asian region and in the whole post-Soviet space.
