Migration from Central Asia to Russia: Cultural Aspect

Abstract. This paper analyses the perception of Russian culture by labour and student migrants from Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan). The authors have conducted field research in order to define the migrants’ knowledge, participation in cultural exchanges, and the sources they use to extract information regarding the culture of the recipient country.
