Eight Years after the Turn to the West: Ukrainian Economy from Maidan to Special Military Operation

Abstract. The article sums up the results of development in the main sectors of the Ukrainian economy during the last eight years that passed since the Kiev’s dramatic turn to the West (February 2014 – February 2022). The main drivers and problems of the economic growth are analyzed. The conclusion about deep structural transformation is made. Now the economic structure is closer to the European proportions, but at the same time the trend of the simplification and dependence on the Western sponsors dominate.
